HOT NEWS!

With effect from 1 April 2017, the national minimum wage and the national living wage increased as follows:

  • Workers aged 25 and over (National Living Wage): from £7.20 to £7.50 per hour
  • Workers aged 21-24: from £6.95 to £7.05 per hour
  • Workers aged 18-20: from £5.55 to £5.60 per hour
  • Apprentices (aged under 19 or in the first year of their apprenticeship): from £3.40 to £3.50 per hour.

With effect from 2 April 2017 the rate of statutory maternity pay, statutory adoption pay, shared parental leave pay and statutory paternity pay increased to £140.98 per week. Statutory sick pay increased to £89.35 per week.
