Injury to feelings – 2024 guidelines

The new Vento bands for claims presented on or after 6 April 2024 have now been published.

The new bands are as follows:

Lower band - £1,200 to £11,700

Middle band - £11,700 to £32,500

Upper band - £35,200 to £58,700

There is no limit to the amount that can be awarded for injury to feelings but tribunals will only exceed the maximum of £58,700 in exceptional circumstances.
