Vaccination for frontline health and care workers

On 9 September 2021, the Government  launched a consultation to make vaccination compulsory for frontline workers in health and care settings.  The requirement will be to have COVID-19 and flu vaccinations to protect patients from infection, serious illness, or death.  The consultation will last six weeks and look at whether the requirement to be vaccinated should be applied to wider health and social care workers meaning that only those workers who are fully vaccinated, unless medically exempt, could be deployed to deliver health and care services.

The consultation can be found here.
