Case Law and Off the Record

The programme includes:

  • Review of all the important case law that has been before the tribunals and courts this year, including an explanation of the connected legislation and precedents and principles set.
  • Disciplinary Investigations and Dismissals: A Review of Royal Mail Group v Jhuti – which has changed the way tribunals must judge the fairness of dismissals.
  • Review the difference between 'without prejudice' discussions, and 'confidential negotiations', after which you will be able to understand the protections and risks involved, and be able to calculate what you should offer by way of settlement.
