Consultation on shared parental leave and pay

The BIS have published three draft statutory instruments related to shared parental leave and pay.

The BIS is asking for comments on the draft statutory instruments stating that they want the proposed changes to be simple to use and to meet the needs of both parents and employers.

According to the announcement shared parental leave is planned to come into force for requests made in relation to children who are expected to be born, or who are matched or placed for adoption, on or after 5 April 2015.
