The Equality and Human Rights Commission has announced that they will not enforce the gender pay gap reporting requirements for the 2020/21 reporting year until October 2021.
This gives employers an additional six months to prepare the pay data relating to the snapshot date of 31 March 2020 (for public authorities) and 5 April 2020 (for everyone else).
The updated guidance explains that employees who were on furlough under the CJRS should be excluded from the list of ‘full-pay relevant employees’ unless their pay was topped up to their usual full pay.
