Gender pay gap reporting for 2020

The deadline for reporting gender pay gap information for 2020 was postponed from 4 April 2021 to 5 October 2021 because of the Covid-19 pandemic.

According to the BBC, 9,268 employers had reported their gender pay gap by the deadline and of these, 7,572 reported a pay gap which favours men, 1,286 had a pay gap which favours women, and 770 report no pay gap at all! The average pay gap, of 10.4%, is the same as the average pay gap reported for 2018/19.  There was no requirement to report on the gender pay gap for 2019/2020 because of the covid-19 pandemic.
