A quick reminder of changes effective from 6 April 2022

  • Statutory maternity, paternity, adoption, parental bereavement and shared parental pay increased to £156.66 per week.
  • Statutory Sick Pay increased to £99.35 per week.
  • The lower earnings limit increased to £123 per week.
  • The maximum compensatory award for unfair dismissal increased to £93,878 (or a year’s salary if this is less).
  • A week’s pay for redundancy pay, basic award, and other purposes increased to £571.
  • Claimants presenting injury to feelings claims will, if successful, be awarded on the basis of the following updated Vento bands. Lower band - £990 to £9,900, middle band - £9,900 to £29,600, upper band - £29,600 to £49,300. In exceptional circumstances, tribunals may award in excess of £49,300.
