In their earlier Modern Workplaces: Equal Pay consultation, the Government committed to introducing regulations for mandatory equal pay audits. Audits may be ordered in specific circumstances where an Employment Tribunal finds that an employer has breached equal pay law. The Government has now published a further consultation which mainly seeks views on the remaining detail of equal pay audit orders. The consultation closes on 18 July 2013 and legislation is expected to be introduced in 2014.
