A recent CIPD survey found that 50 per cent of participants either aren't prepared or didn't know about shared parental leave.
The arrangements which come into force next April are a major shift in how parents may take leave to care for new babies or adopted children.
The survey found that 15 per cent didn't know about the new Regulations, 35 per cent are unprepared, 40 per cent are somewhat prepared and only 10 per cent are fully prepared.
To make sure you're ready or just to check your plans are right you should attend the CIPD's Law on Tour which will cover this essential topic, along with other issues around leave such as managing long term sickness and the saga that is the calculation of holiday pay.
Booking is via the CIPD website.
