National Minimum Wage increases announced

The Government has confirmed the NMW hourly pay rates will increase as follows:

• £6.31 from £6.19 - adult rate (21 years and over)
• £5.03 from £4.98 - youth development rate (18 - 20 years old)
• £3.72 from £3.68 - 16 & 17 year old rate
• £2.68 from £2.65 - apprentice rate.

The increases will come into force on 1 October 2013 and we'll remind you closer to the time.

The accommodation offset will also increase from £4.82 per day to £4.91.
